Subject: Thank you

Message: Hi Lori - I just had my first experience with the Feldenkrais method yesterday with you and I wanted to let you know that I am unbelievably impressed with the results. I listened to the cd you gave me last night after I returned home and I learned, remembered and/or opened to so much about my own body and movement. Not only did the burning pain go away after my treatment with you but I also was keenly aware of my body and my movement after our session. The cd's you gave me helped to not only reinforce that awareness but open a much more expansive awareness around my own body. And I am loving it. I told my husband last night on the phone that I was born again through Feldenkrais and that it was better than any enlightenment I have ever hoped to attain. I was joking around but that is the extent of my impression of the results from my session and I am so happy about it that I had to share it with you. So a deep bow and thank you to you for the work that you do. See you Monday!

Warmly - Leslie

Use Feldenkrais to make moments like this funny instead of tragic!

This was a great wipeout. It let me know just what kind of functional shape I'm in. Instead of heading to the beach, I laughed and paddled back out! Thanks to Feldenkrais for allowing me to surf hard every day; and occasionally, fall hard! Let me show you how Feldenkrais can help your ability to prevent injuries, improve abilities, and relieve pain.

She said the headaches begin in the right side of her neck and radiate forward to her head and downward to her upper back. The headache is not always present, but was there now. After treating this woman with Feldenkrais for 45 minutes her headache was gone and the pain in her neck was 90% better. These are the kind of results I want you to expect from the Feldenkrais Center of San Diego.

In chronic pain, the duration used is arbitrary. I and others suggest that any pain persisting longer than the reasonable expected healing time for the involved tissues should be considered chronic pain.

CPS is a group of syndromes that usually do not respond to the typical medical model of care. I frequently use the Feldenkrais Method with these patients and have had wonderful success. Feldenkrais offers a novel approach to pain management. It uses our nervous system's capacity for self-organizing and self-regulating to improve the quality of our actions. Improving movement quality allows the body to function more efficiently. This creates environments for chronic pain and injuries to heal, and opportunities for athletes and others to excel. The reorganizing occurs very quickly with most people responding in a matter of days.
